Hello, my name is Trent Nixon, i am a freelance Web developer currently living in Australia.
Welcome to my site, this is something that i have been meaning to do for a while now but, as is generally the case with your own projects, it has been pushed to the back burner for some time, in favour of the more lucrative paid work :) . The site is of course set up to help promote myself to a wider audience in the hope of acquiring more freelance work but also as a great learning platform for me to stretch my development skills without the restrains of a clients design brief (as I’m essentially the client!! ) and to get a bit of a feel for me. so if you see anything on the site thats look odd, or not working correctly please let me know and ill leave it for 6 months before i get round to fixing it ...(joking!!).

Development Skills
So a little bit about my background. I have been in web development for 4 years now, almost predominantly as a freelancer working on short term contracts in England, New Zealand and Australia, on a variety of different projects, from back end custom CMS development to front end compositions. I have always enjoyed working contractually for companies as it has given me the chance to get out there and see what people are doing and the different approaches they take to common problems that arise within our profession. I also take on many freelance clients independently who have contacted me over the years looking for a cheaper alternative to the media companies they have approached in their area. Just on that note If you are looking for a freelance web developer or just want advice of how to get a web site and the costs you should expect from someone like myself or a major company (as well as the pros and cons of each) then please feel free to contact me or check out what i can offer you

So this is my way of extending out my virtual hand and passing on that knowledge to you. Alternatively If you have anything you think i would like or would like to pass on do feel free, i am a trained musician so anything with a solid groove ill be into ;)
